Following last year’s highly successful storytelling and poetry workshop, we are delighted to welcome Bradford-born actor Timothy West to give this year’s event. Songs exist because at some point in their gestation a composer has found inspiration in a poet’s choice of words. Honoured with a CBE in 1984, Timothy is well-known as a film, stage and television actor as well as being an enthusiastic lover of music. He will explore some of the texts that are being performed over the weekend and work with singers from Britain’s top conservatoires to find clarity of expression and a deeper communication of words.
