Wallis Giunta and Michael Sikich – A Friends Event at Bowcliffe Hall

A delightful evening of song to be held in the elegant surroundings of Bowcliffe Hall, Bramham, Leeds on Tuesday 26 February 2019.  The evening will begin at 7pm with a champagne and canapé reception.  At 7.30pm, mezzo soprano Wallis Giunta and pianist Michael Sikich will perform songs by Leonard Bernstein and others in a shortened version of the recital they gave at London’s Cadogan Hall as part of the 2018 BBC Proms. You may have seen Wallis’s stunning performance in the recent Opera North production of Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti.  Michael was one of our 2018 Leeds Lieder Young Artists, and it is lovely to welcome him back.

International auctioneers, Bonhams, are delighted to sponsor this Leeds Lieder Bernstein on Broadway recital and look forward to welcoming you to Bowcliffe Hall for what will be a most enjoyable evening.

We are, as always, immensely grateful for your support as a Friend – but we would love to make some new ones too, so we are offering a special reduction on the ticket price if you bring along a potential new Friend to the concert.  (Perhaps it’s worth mentioning here that a membership subscription covers up to two people at the same address.)  Tickets are £10, reduced to £8 if you introduce someone new.  If your friend subsequently becomes our Friend, they can deduct their ticket price from their membership subscription.

If you would like to eat after the concert, the Drivers’ Club restaurant at Bowclffe Hall is offering a two-course, fixed-price supper for £25 (drinks extra).  We have to give numbers and menu selections in advance, and places are limited, so we recommend reserving your place as soon as possible, and certainly by Friday 15 February.  You will need to pay for supper and drinks on the night.  Please contact the Leeds Lieder office on 0113 234 6956 or info@leedslieder.org.uk for a booking form.
