Festival Masterclass IV with Amanda Roocroft

Amanda Roocroft is one of Britain’s best-loved sopranos and a teacher in demand world-wide. An extraordinary singing actress she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera following portrayals of leading roles by Handel to Wagner at the Metropolitan Opera New York, Houston, Salzburg, Madrid, Barcelona, Munich and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Her performances as a recitalist included regular appearances at Wigmore Hall, Vienna Musikverein, New York’s Lincoln Centre and La Monnaie amongst others. Her masterclasses are always a fascinating blend of encouraging duos to marry solid technique with a vivid imagination.
