Professor Richard Stokes leads our Young Artists through a lecture recital exploring musical settings inspired by one of the most colourful and influential pieces of literature ever written, Goethe’s West-Östlicher Divan. Settings of Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn weave round Richard Stokes’s inspired introductions.
