Jonathan Fisher

Piano

Jonathan Fisher was born in Manchester and is a graduate of The University of Huddersfield and The Royal Northern College of music. He enjoys the thrill of making music with other people, his passion lies in song and chamber music. Notable engagements include performances at Oxford Lieder Festival, Wigmore Hall, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, Leeds Lieder, Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall, Chester Festival, The Royal Northern College of Music, La Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice, several recitals in London for the Richard Strauss Society, and numerous music society recitals throughout the United Kingdom.

Jonathan has worked in recital with many distinguished artists, including Anna Stephany, Lynne Dawson, Philip Smith, Louise Winter, Paul Nilon, and Benjamin Appl. Future engagements include recitals and a tour of Scotland with the exciting and innovative young saxophonist Jessica Gillam. Jonathan has featured as accompanist in several category finals of BBC Young Musician of the Year Award.

Jonathan is committed to working with the next generation of musicians, reflected in the positions he holds at The Royal Northern College of Music as Staff Pianist and Coach, and at The University of Huddersfield as Head of Keyboard and Pianist-In-Residence. Jonathan is Artistic Director of The Royal Northern College of Music’s annual Day of Song, and the RNCM Songsters.
