Join Our Friends

The Friends of Leeds Lieder are the heart of the Festival.

Without their financial support – membership subscriptions, donations and Gift Aid – we simply would not be able to fill the city with song. Their ambassadorship is equally valuable, helping to spread the word about Leeds Lieder and spurring us on to even greater things.

Why not join today and access a range of benefits including priority booking, invitations to special events and advanced information? Full details and a downloadable application form are available to view below. You can also ring the Festival Office on 0113 243 4438 or email

Get Involved
There are lots of practical ways in which you can help Leeds Lieder.

It’s a great way to get involved in our work, and you’ll make new friends too. You don’t need to make a big time commitment; you can do as much, or as little, as you wish. We also welcome support from local students and alumnae.

We’ll be very grateful for anything you can do to help us. For example, you could:

  • Distribute leaflets in your area or at other arts events
  • Be a volunteer steward or driver during the Festival
  • Offer accommodation in your home to students taking part in the Masterclass
  • Help with mailings – envelope stuffing etc

If you would like to help, please email your contact details to We’ll be in touch – thank you!

A bequest to Leeds Lieder in your Will is your enduring gift to the song lovers of the future, making it possible for thousands of people to share your love of this wonderful art form long after you’re gone.

Making a Will is easy and can be done at relatively low cost. By making a Will, you know that your wishes will be carried out after you’re gone.  If your estate is liable to Inheritance Tax, by including charitable donations in your Will you could reduce the amount of tax owed.

If you would like to find out more about how you can help Leeds Lieder in this way, and to discuss how we can acknowledge your generosity, please contact us, either by phone: 0113 234 6956 or by email to: We promise absolute confidentiality.

Please note that Leeds Lieder cannot give legal advice; we recommend that you contact your solicitor for this advice.
