Writing for the Ilkley Gazette, classical music critic Geoffrey Mogridge expressed praise for the 2023 edition of the Leeds Lieder Festival, describing Sir Simon Keenlyside and Joseph Middleton’s closing concert as “mesmeric” and “searing”. Mogridge further acknowledged the Leeds Lieder’s Bring and Sing! Chorus’ performance of Mozart’s Requiem at Leeds Minster as “unforgettable”.
