Leeds Lieder audiences will remember with great affection the appearance Nicky Spence made as a young participant in our 2005 masterclass. An infectious performer, he is now firmly established as one the UK’s finest tenors with recent highlights including major débuts at New York’s Metropolitan Opera, La Monnaie and English National Opera. Recognized as a gifted recitalist with a growing discography, he has appeared at London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and the Zürich Tonhalle.
