Ruby Hughes soprano & Joseph Middleton piano
- This event has passed.
On behalf of Leeds Lieder and the Howard Assembly Room, please note a change to the advertised concert on Thursday 18 February:
In a change to original programming, we’re pleased that the Director of Leeds Lieder Joseph Middleton will now be joined by soprano Ruby Hughes. Sadly, due to ill health, Lucy Crowe has been forced to cancel a number of upcoming performances, including her appearance at the Howard Assembly Room on 18 February.
An award-winning soloist, Ruby Hughes has appeared with companies including English National Opera, Garsington Opera and Scottish Opera, and is a keen recitalist and recording artist.
‘One of the brightest stars in the world of song and lieder’ (BBC Music Magazine), Joseph Middleton is a specialist in art song and chamber music and has cultivated his own series of lunchtime concerts on BBC Radio 3. It’s a delight to see him return to the Howard Assembly Room in 2016.
Tickets held for Lucy Crowe are still valid for this event, and ticketholders with any enquiries can contact Opera North on 0113 223 3500.
