Fresh from performances at The Coronation and the Last Night of the Proms, Britain’s most beloved baritone Roderick Williams makes a welcome return to Leeds Lieder alongside the great pianist Roger Vignoles, artistic director of our 2007 Festival.

A gala concert featuring an all-Schubert programme will include Schubert’s Fantasie in F minor (D. 940) to be performed by Middleton and Vignoles, rare Schubert ensembles showcasing members of the Young Artists Programme and duets by Hillebrand and Williams. There can be no more fitting way to open the 20th anniversary of Leeds Lieder than a Schubertiade, the very definition of friendship in song.
